Decisions, Decisions!

Ok so I need some help, my program gives us 4 weeks in the 4th quarter to do an alternate practicum, so basically volunteering somewhere outside of the traditional classroom.  Originally I wanted to go to South America with one of my guy friends but then that kind of fell apart and I got an opportunity to go to Tanzania for my practicum.  One of the reasons I am thinking of Tanzania is my aunt who works for the UN just got a new position there so I could visit her while I was on my alt prac.  The only issue is there is about 8 girls going from the program including my roommate who drives me crazy and I don’t know if I really want to spend the next 3 months fundraising with her and then 4 weeks traveling with her.  My other option is to go to the Canmore, Alberta with one of my really good friends and spend the time working at an outdoors ed camp in Banff national park.  Basically Tanzania is a really amazing opportunity but Banff would also be really cool!  So give me some advice people what should I do?!?!  PS also feel free to suggest other ideas of what I could do

Ok on to the food part of my life.

The return of pumpkin oats, 1/3 cup of oats and milk, 1/2 cup of pumpkin and water, dash of cinnamon and a blob of Justin Maple Almond Butter, Regular PC Crunchy Peanut Butter and PB&Co dark chocolate peanut butter.

Woah!! Both of these opportunities sound amazing! I'm not sure how much I would worry about your roommate, since you'd be there with 7 other girls! Would you be able to find ways to NOT be around her all the time? If that's the case, then I would totally do Tanzania (because really, when's the next time you might get to go there??).

But even if it's Banff, or something else even, it sounds amazing! You'll have an amazing experience either way :)

Canmore is beautiful. But I'd definitely try to work out Tanzania. Like PP said, when is the next chance you'll get to go there!!

I think I would go for Tanzania, too. There will be other chances to visit Banff and I bet Tanzania would be an AMAZING experience, besides, like Anais said, there will be seven other people there besides your roommate too!

wow! what a fabulous decision you have to make!!! honestly, i would do the cooler/more adventurous option except if you really think this girl will drive you totally crazy. being around someone 24/7 who rubs you the wrong way can be rough. although, i am sure you will find a way to do your own thing when you need to!! sorry i guess thats not too much help.

I would do Banf I love to be outdoors!

But Tanzania would be amazing. I say do what you want don't let someone else dictate your life.

Subway was my college staple.

So neat that you get to travel abroad for your program. I don't have an easy answer for you. It sounds like a tough decision.

Pumpkin oats look delish, as always. :-)

That's a tough one! I think Banff would be awesome, just because I've never been further West than Ontario (sad, I know) and feel like it would be a gorgeous place to visit. BUT, Tanzania sounds more like an adventure... so I guess just go with your gut!

I've been wondering about those flat breads as Subway. Doesn't look half bad.

It is so cool to see all the pumpkin recipes this season. Pumpkin oats and pumpkin butter seems to be the top contenders.
